The 13th international conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries on "Enhancing transdisciplinary collaborations on Education and Research to tackle priority public health issues in the new Era" has following objectives:
An abstract should be in one paragraph with no more 350 words, describing the major aspects of the entire paper in a prescribed sequence that includes: 1) Introduction: The overall purpose of the study and the research problem(s) you investigated; 2) Objective(s): The outcomes that you aim to achieve by conducting research; 3) Method: The basic design of the study; 4) Results: Major findings or trends found as a result of your analysis; and, 5) Conclusions: a brief summary of your interpretations and conclusions. International conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Region in Yangon, Myanmar (27-29/9/2013)Facing health and global health changes, every country has its own orientation. Greater Mekong Sub-regional nations share economy, culture and society similarities in health care field and take first priority in making and developing important public health policies in the innovation and intergration period. Undertaking the commitment among principles and deans in Kunming Declaration at Kunming city, China on 14/9/2012, research cooperation activities, sharing experiences, education and exchange public health students and staff are strong evidences carried out by nations and Public health training organizations in Greater Mekong Sub-regional area. The conference includes over 500 participants: individuals, universities (14 faculties from 6 Greater Mekong Sub-regional nations), WHO and NGOs from such 10 nations as Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Nepan, China, Srilanca, England, Australia, The Netherlands…led by Assoc.Prof. Vo Van Thang (Dean of PHF-Hue UMP-VN) and Prof. Michael Dunne (Queensland university of Technology-Australia- Research Director of ICCCHR Hue UMP), eleven members in Hue delegation include Dr.Đoan Phuoc Thuoc (Vice director of Hue University Hospital-Vice Dean of PHF), MPH.Hoang Thi Lien (Vice Dean of PHF), Dr. Nguyen Hoang Lan; Dr. Ngo Viet Loc; MPH. Pham Thi Hai; MPH. Dang Thi Anh Thu; BPH. Tran Binh Thang and two PhD students of PHF: Hoang Huu Khoi and Nguyen Van Hung. Hue delegation gives 5 oral presentations in which two presentations were in the top best 20 abstracts and got the scholarships of the conference; 12 posters on public health field of Hue UMP, PHF, PhD. Staff of ICCCHR that are presented in City Hall of Yangon city.
In the opening session, all speeches of Prof. Dr. Nay Soe Maung-Rector of Yangon Public Health University, Prof. Dr. Pe Thet Khin-Minister of Myanmar Health Ministry and Dr. Lincoln Chen director of China Medical Board (CMB) stress the significance of firm connection among areas in public health field and chances, challenges confronting at present. After the opening session, it is a round-table seminar on ‘Promoting for international Public Health’, ‘Universal Health Coverage and Health Financing”. In the afternoon session of the same day and the day after (29/09), there are reports on 6 different themes at hall of Public Health University and Yangon Medical University. Reports of Hue delegation are highly appreciated and draw attention of audiences. Hue delegation also meets Dr. Lincoln Chen and gives gift of Rector-Prof.Dr. Cao Ngoc Thanh to CMB and confirms the commitment of Hue UMP with CMB to research cooperation and training for primary health care in Hue. After two days with many seminars and reports, in the afternoon of 29/09/2013, the conference has come to the end and Khon Kaen University in Thailand will hold the next one in August 2014. |
