The 13th international conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries on "Enhancing transdisciplinary collaborations on Education and Research to tackle priority public health issues in the new Era" has following objectives:

  • To strengthen the relationship of Faculties of Public Health among the Southeast Asian countries and in the world;
  • To share research results in the field of Public Health as well as priority public health issues among greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries;
  • To search for feasible solutions to enhance international collaboration among Public Health Faculties in Mekong Sub-Region and a wider area of the Southeast Asian countries about training and research in Public Health.

An abstract should be in one paragraph with no more 350 words, describing the major aspects of the entire paper in a prescribed sequence that includes: 1) Introduction: The overall purpose of the study and the research problem(s) you investigated; 2) Objective(s): The outcomes that you aim to achieve by conducting research; 3) Method: The basic design of the study; 4) Results: Major findings or trends found as a result of your analysis; and, 5) Conclusions: a brief summary of your interpretations and conclusions.

The ICHR participated in the Asian Health Literacy International Conference in Taiwan

The 8th AHLA International Conference Program, Oct 27-29, 2022, Lukang, Changhua, Taiwan

 

ICHR staff participated in organizing and attending the Asian Health Literacy International Conference in Taiwan from Oct 27th to Oct 29th, 2022. This year’s event is the first hybrid conference to be held since before the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2019. The AHLA hosted over 200 participants attending both in person and online between Thursday and Saturday (Oct. 29), when the conference ends.

 

Within the framework of the conference, Dr. Dang Thi Anh Thu – director of the ICHR – was an actively invited chairperson in the conference’s General Sessions related to (1) Health literacy and pandemic and (2) Health literacy, NCDs, social resilience. Besides, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao – an ICHR staff, an AHLA Assistant Secretary-General – was also involved in the Conference Committee.

 

During this conference, ICHR staff discussed the plan of building up cooperation, considering the admission of new members, and implementing health competency studies to establish best practices and improve healthcare services by highlighting directions for future action and gathering experts and scholars from across Asia.

 

 

The AHLA, founded in 2013 and registered in Geneva, Switzerland in 2014, is one of the most active and respected professional non-governmental international organizations that promotes education and research in health literacy. It has more than 100 institutional and individual members and more than 15 offices promoting national health literacy in different countries.
