The 13th international conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries on "Enhancing transdisciplinary collaborations on Education and Research to tackle priority public health issues in the new Era" has following objectives:

  • To strengthen the relationship of Faculties of Public Health among the Southeast Asian countries and in the world;
  • To share research results in the field of Public Health as well as priority public health issues among greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries;
  • To search for feasible solutions to enhance international collaboration among Public Health Faculties in Mekong Sub-Region and a wider area of the Southeast Asian countries about training and research in Public Health.

An abstract should be in one paragraph with no more 350 words, describing the major aspects of the entire paper in a prescribed sequence that includes: 1) Introduction: The overall purpose of the study and the research problem(s) you investigated; 2) Objective(s): The outcomes that you aim to achieve by conducting research; 3) Method: The basic design of the study; 4) Results: Major findings or trends found as a result of your analysis; and, 5) Conclusions: a brief summary of your interpretations and conclusions.

Thua Thien Hue provincial Association of Public Health and Preventive Medicine in collaboration with the Faculty of Public Health and the Institute for Community Health Research of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, will host a scientific conference on Public Health.  (updating...)

ICHR and the 2nd ASEAN Conference on Health Impact Assessment

Within the framework of the 60th anniversary of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Foundation, the 2nd ASEAN Conference on Health Impact Assessment under the theme “Health Impact Assessment: Towards ASEAN Engagement and Sustainable Development” was organized on 20th – 21st April, 2017 in Indochine Hotel, Hue, Vietnam.

               The conference attracted nearly 300 delegates, including experts, scientists and managers from ASEAN countries. Training workshops on Health Impact Assessment for Energy, Dengue Hemorrhagic fever, and Primary Health Care or the approach of GMS countries in training and educating on Health Impact Assessment all received interests from participants. Nearly 30 topics on scientific researches related to public health and health impact assessment were presented and shared in different sessions of the conference. In this meeting, ICHR’s members and coordinators of ICHR partners in Khanh Hoa province and Binh Dinh province gave 4 presentations on their scientific researches: Prevalence of selected risk factors of non-communicable diseases among people in a central region of Vietnam: A significant consideration of HIA; Associations between Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever and climate factors in two cities of Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam: Time series analysis; Health literacy and its associated factors among outpatients in Hue university hospital, Vietnam: A similar case study in HIA; Research on silicosis disease at stone mining, processing and building materials production factories in Binh Dinh province in 2016; Their presentations have contributed to the overall success of the conference.

               On the sidelines of the Conference, on April 20th, the ICHR also organized an exhibition of the achievements of the institute’s development and its planned activities in the coming time. The exhibition attracted the attention of many national and international delegates.
