Postponement of the Global Health Literacy Summit 2020 to 2021 due to the pandemic Updated statement on Covid-19 24 April 2020 The International Health Literacy Association and E-DA Healthcare Group IShou University have been monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak carefully to assess its impact on the Global Health Literacy Summit planned for 26-28 October 2020 in Taiwan.

In close consultation with our Executive Boards, the Summit Steering Committee and Programme Committee, as well as the IHLA membership, we have made the decision to postpone the event until 2021. This decision was not taken lightly. However, due to the impact of the pandemic on travel planning, funding opportunities, and safety precautions, we find it in the best interest of our participants and global community that the event be postponed.

We apologize for any inconvenience this postponement might cause; these circumstances are unpredictable and out of our control. Up-to-date WHO advice and facts can be found here: www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novelcoronavirus-2019/technical-guidance We sincerely thank our participants, sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers for the strong support to continue the collaboration on making the first IHLA Summit a success – in 2021. The event in 2021 will be held at the same venue Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. As previously planned, the main conference and exhibition will last 2.5 days including a welcome reception, banquet, masterclasses and cultural tours.
